On the day

Sunday was hectic. Had brunch and headed off to watch Valentine’s Day at the cinema. After lunch, headed to Ilam to meet up with friend. After that, dinner at lone star. Yay!! Some photos taken at Lone Star. Desserts was after that. No other friends were around so we ended up blowing the cake at home with Emma. Thinking a year older was ok but it comes to the number, I just thought, gosh time passes so fast.

Just last week when I was at work, I turned to the mirror to straighten myself. I saw my reflection and thought, hey where am I. I was wearing work clothes and I asked myself how did I get here. The last time I really look at myself closely was during university time - I was still studying. I really have achieve one thing in life, which was to finish a degree. Really, I didn’t think I would graduate. Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t looking down on myself. I just didn’t realise how fast the time goes. I usually set myself goals and try to achieve them. Getting a degree is one of the biggest goal in my life so far.

Now I have jumped into working life. What is my next goal? I don’t know yet. I haven’t thought about it. I am looking forward to graduate, seeing my family and have fun. I shall think about setting goals after that, yeah? Setting something for myself to achieve will, at least make me look forward to future otherwise life seems meaningless. Well, that is how I see lah. Guess what, I feel like bringing back some work to do for the night, want to read extra notes about insurance quotes on the insurance risks. But of course, I cannot as I would need to use the work programme. If I do, I would have no life because work is all I think about. So yea, I guess throw that thought away yea?

My birthday

Hmm.. yeah it’s my birthday today, went online in yahoo and chatted to sis. Wished me before I disappeared off to watch movie. Hehe… I was just telling darling yesterday that I do not feel like I am 23. We were doing grocery shopping in the supermarket when we came across this lady handing out fruit cider tester. She asked me how old was I before deciding that I can drink. That just proves my real age. Oh I can be serious at times, too serious I think and I can be really childish at times too. Hehe..

So yeah I immediately went to read my birthday card from my family at midnight. I peeked but I didn’t read anything. Hehehe… it looked like they bought it from the shop. But I knew it was handmade. Handmade card just means they are thoughtful yeah?

Just waiting for darling to cook brunch. Hehehe, my off day today. Then off to watch movie. Yay!!

Gifts

Darling has been wanting to play this game so he went in search for the price. Apparently, the first one is old and there is no more stock. He is still looking though. He commented that I am lame for not playing games. I told him that I don’t like games like that. I prefer to play puzzle games. Plus, lately I have no time to play games. Come back from work, I prepare dinner and cook, shower then need some time to check emails. I also watch tv programmes. At times, I also managed to blog. =P That is, if I am not lazy. Lol.

I did wondered what are phosphacore reviews and googled it. It is actually reviews of a supplement dietary. Some time last year, I watched a tv programme where a lady said she took supplement to make sure she has the right amount of vitamins or supplement for the day. Some do not take it because they do not believe in taking supplement and rather eat food naturally. I guess it all depends on individuality in the end.

That is darling’s valentine’s gift. hehe.. I ordered, well, we ordered from High street Emirates gift using my mile points. Technically the gift is from me to him even though I ask him to choose what he wanted from the website. =P Oh he bought me something which might be in the next post. hehe..

Only one

That is the only CNY food photo I got. I love the curry that darling’s uncle cooked. We played card game after that. Oh yea, I did mentioned that. Hehehe..

Work is getting better, I am faster and more focus too. Oh that is because I had the mp3 on. My team members and I are allowed to listen to our ipod since we are not on phones all the time. The music just blocks out the claim consultants who talks on the phone all day behind me. =P Weekend is here soon. I didn’t mention that I had free drink last Friday with my managers and team members. Kim, my manager was commenting that we were quiet at social gatherings and even at work. Hehe..

When I was in the toilet this afternoon, I noticed some acne on my face. What girl will like to have acne on their face. I don’t like it. I am really lucky enough to get smooth face most days though. Apparently nodular acne is the most common acne that most people experienced. I think most of the time, people pop their pimples. I did want to do that to mine but was told that there would be scars if I pop it. So I never tried. I didn’t want to have scars on my smooth face. There are actually treatments to treat these pimples.

I love gatherings

I got the shirt from darling’s parents. =) They also bought the goggles with degree for me as we ask them. That way, I don’t need to wear my contacts when I go swimming. Oh I plan to swim more often this year. So far, we haven’t been as we were busy with things. =P Don’t worry, goggles. You will be useful soon. Lol.

I have no CNY photos to show. Didn’t take any. I only got darling to celebrate on the first day so the mood is not really there. It is better to celebrate in a big gathering.

Talk about food, if I eat too much, my tummy will get bigger and then it will be hard to lose the fade stretch marks on the tummy. Really, if you grow bigger and then lose all the fat, you will see some stretch marks on the body.

It is for children

These colourful toy bin and the shelf organiser are actually for children. Hehe.. it just so happens that we need to put some stuff so the room is not messy. Plus, it was on sale too. It was the Waitagi weekend sale. Now the room looks neater. Hopefully there are more organiser shelves on sale that suit our needs coming up.

Know what, I always wanted to earn extra income working from home and also work at the same time. There were some adverts on internet but I don’t know if I wanted to trust them. Most turn out to be scams. Sigh, there are no such thing as get free stuff or earn money faster in this world huh? Should think straight, now recession, there is no easy way to earn money now.

CNY and Valentine

So had dinner with darling’s relatives on Saturday night. It was CNY eve. Played some games after that until midnight. Didn’t do much during weekend except more rest, groceries shopping and walking in the mall. I wantd to watch Valentine movie but the timings are not right, so maybe I will watch it on my birthday. =)

Ever since I started work, I feel tired at night, all I wanted to do was rest and sleep early. Oh darling wanted my 100% attention too so I didn’t get to online much. Hehe.. not that I am complaining about that. I am just saying that my life is getting boring if it is not for the Valentine and CNY occasions now. Oh yea and my birthday coming up too. Darling is supposed to plan things to do on my birthday but I decide to take over and plan what to do. Movies and dinner. Yay!! He kept asking me what I want for my birthday. I really have no idea what I want. Then, he decide not to buy anything for me to save money and I gave a hmmph face. Something interesting that do not require expensive things would make me happy. *hint hint* Lol.

So sis transited on Sunday, managed to pass me some of the clothes that mum bought for me. Yay!! I wore the working pants and boots to work today. It will be up in the fashion blog soon, when I get the time to do it. Hehe.. Work was good today, not too bad. I probably did mention about the unemployment rate being high in NZ now, really glad that this job came back to me. At least I am doing something and gaining work experience.

I like to babble

A photo to brighten up the post. =P Got the book as Christmas present. Was just thinking the other day that we should do some travelling on our own. 2 of my team members from work are from UK. They landed on NZ in Nov last year and decided to stay here for few months to work for extra money and go travel more. Really amazed at how they are doing at the moment. My office table looks bare, I am thinking of decorating something or putting some nice stuff on the desk. First thing is tissue box. I am sure all girls who work would do that. Oh I need office supplies too such as pencils, pens, note books, refills, etc. I do write things down. Having two screens is great but keep looking at it strains my eyes.

Anyhow, work so far is going great. I have since change my working hours, more like getting up earlier and finishing earlier too. Not that it is any different. Going to the zoo is out of the plan again since the weather turned miserable. =( Will be doing some shopping instead. Groceries, not clothes shopping. I really haven’t been shopping for clothes for so long. It is tempting but I put the word SAVE into mind so ended up not doing any.

So, CNY… first time not spending CNY with my family. =( It is sad, I love how we usually ate together at the table with delicious food and just talk about anything. Well, at least it was me babbling on and on. Hehehe.. I didn’t like silence and considering that I wasn’t home much, I just babbled anything from my mind. Hmm.. my parents must be thinking that I am so talkative. Hahaha.. I once told my mum that I used to talk to myself during my first year of university. My reason was that I was lonely and had no one to talk to. I was so used to talking with my family at home, especially during dinner time. Family, relatives and friends who knows me well, will probably commented that I do babble a lot on anything. Lol.

My update

Gosh, I really feel so tired after work ever since Monday. I have sore eyes from staring at the computer all day and a little bit of sore legs and back from sitting still too long. I didn’t get up to walk for a while as I was so focused on getting my work done. Somemore the time passed so fast when you are focused on your work. I started at 8 today and the next time I checked the time, it was 10.14am. Actually that was when my manager reminded me to take my break. Hehe.. then resumed work. The next time I check time was 12.30pm. Time for lunch!

Now, I shall go off and rest my eyes. CNY is coming up this Sunday. Oh it’s Valentine’s Day too. Hehe.. whoever’s birthday on 14 Feb will feel super special  this coming Sunday.

Oh I started drinking tea again. Hehe.. just to wake me up (though I am awake already) a bit more. Right, I am off now.

Museums

This was taken ages ago. Went to the Air Force Museum to look at air force planes. I was actually anticipating any sort of aircraft but it was just air force. Nevertheless, I enjoyed looking at all of them. Even managed to take some photos with them with darling.

The weather has been sunny. Now this is what I call summer and it is so hot.

First day was work was quite relaxing. There were introduction from other team and my team from the same department during morning tea. Glad to meet new people. =) Three people from my team including myself started this week as it was easier to train smaller group of people. We had tour around the building too. The afternoon was spent on doing online assessment. Training started tomorrow. I am looking forward to it. =) Really.

Every time darling and I drove past someone riding motorcycle, we always check out the bike. I know it is cool to ride one but it is dangerous too. Darling mentioned that accidents happen because the motorcyclists do not focus on where they want to go. Instead they focus on something like a pole on the road and that is where they end up. If somehow crash into people or cars,  then should get motorcycle accident lawyer.
