House maintenance

We washed the car on Saturday afternoon. It was such a nice day for washing the car and the clothes. But when I was drenched, it was cold. Lol.. we also did gardening the week before and cut off all the grass. It looks nice now. Maybe next, we might do the address plaques. Do it up nicely on the outside of the house. Shall I decorate it? Lol..

I was chatting with a friend about life. Asked me if I was alright from the earthquake. I said I was fine then recall that I was just about to close the cupboard in the kitchen full of breakable things when the third strong earthquake of the day hit. Lucky nothing fall over and hit me. I rushed to take the keys and open the door to run out. By the time I reach outside, it stopped. I laughed at myself after that.

Funny how I didn’t panic as I was rushing out from the house. Funny incident though.

Open the window

Funny how when you are watching movies you cannot move yourself away from it especially when it is during critical time. I am trying to type as I am watching Poseidon on tv. It is a little bit like Titanic story plot. But there were people who died as they were trying to survive and find a way out from the ship. Gosh..

Here’s another one that I cannot rotate. It’s a Christmas card, which you can open the window starting from 1st Dec till 25 Dec. Cool huh.. aunty’s friend from Germany sent it to her. This year, the card is bigger. =)

Christmas dinner

Right, I can’t turn the photo around even though I have tried to rotate and save it on desktop. Not idea why so I just left it at that.

We had dinner at aunty’s place on eve’s night and exchange presents after that. They had a look at the hard copy of the wedding photos. Time flies so fast that we had to leave soon for mass. It was great to go for the midnight mass. Haven’t been for a while already. Darling said that I shouldn’t forget the formality and that we should go once in a while.

Anyway, I knew what present we got for ourselves. Ps3. Yay.. I just opened it out just now and charge the controllers. Hehehe.. They are all in black colour. Hehehe.. I actually thought of buying cufflink box for darling. I don’t mean the box, I mean cufflinks in the box. Lol. But he has a lot already so I bought him a gaming mouse and keyboard.

Guess what, I left the keyboard wrapped up in the office. My thought was, I bring it home on Friday before Christmas eve and surprise him but when the earthquake happen, I had to do my duty as Civil Defence member and I forgot all about it until I reach home. Of course, I couldn’t get back in because they wouldn’t let staff go in there. So yeala, darling had to wait for his present till Wednesday. Hahaha..

Awesome

Check this out. Incredible to see the road sunk. This was taken last month before parents flew back. We went around touring with darling’s best man as well as mummy and daddy. We took few photos too. Oops, I just remembered that I was suppose to send those photos to daddy. Hehehe.. I better do it as soon as possible.

Oh but then they are not going to check their email for a week so I still have time to muck around. Hehe.. it’s New Year on Sunday and it’s 2012. Sounds familiar? Well, one of the movies that came out in 2009 was called 2012. Some people said it’s the end of the world but I won’t believe it till it happens. It could just mean a new era begins, anyway.

Didn’t really see any damage cars that might have in the danger zone.

Oh yeah, I think I forgot to say that the aqua car that we have is between brand new and second hand. We didn’t have to switch plates. Well, not that I want a personalized one because it does cost a lot to get it. It’s quite cool though to have personalized one because you can put your own name or whatever things that you can think of. I saw some interesting plates but I can’t remember exactly what they are. When I see one, I will put it here. =) Most of the time, people put names which is common.

Christmas day

It’s Christmas today.

But I have nothing much to do except just watching tv and going online. Sad life to do that but oh well.. darling has computer games to accompany him though.

Well, it’s Christmas day. I guess I should enjoy sitting around doing nothing.

Aqua

Oops.. I have forgotten to put these up. I told you that I have lots of posts that I want to put up but I kept procrastinating and doing something else. Now, I am like flooding the blog with posts. Sis will be flooding the blog with posts too when she comes back? I hope.

Anyway, this is our new current car. It’s a good buy and something that we could afford too. Have to try to save up more for future holidays. Actually we should plan properly and not spending too much. Hehehe.. have to be careful not to buy too many small things or even rosary gifts online. I bought quite a few gifts online recently that I feel broke. Sigh..

Christmas baking competition

I did it again. I didn’t check to see if the post author is by me and just post it until I saw my list of posts by sis’ name. Lousy me but anyway, I saw it and alter it already.

I took this photo off from work Christmas baking competition. It’s incredible how one of them could make such a nice house. I love how it looks like.

This is also another one which is quite nice. I think mummy could easily make it too. Hehehe.. not that I am boasting but it’s true.

Yes, I am flooding the blog with lots of posts because I have so much to put up since wedding month.

It’s not too long. Only 6 minutes. The one we both saw at the Tandem office took half an hour. Now that is long.

Right now, I am quite free but lazy to move around. I just hang the clothes outside because it is very sunny. But it is also quite windy. Need to wash clothes already because it’s piling up and the weather was lousy last week. Sigh.. the weather should be nice already. =)

A way to start Christmas

What a way to start Christmas. We had 2 big aftershocks and few smaller aftershocks. During lunchtime, I was thinking if we were going to be let off early to go home and guess what, we did. Lol anyway, all were above 5 magnitude. Not sure what is the second one because none of the website mention anything.

For now, we can only hope that no more aftershocks. Or if there are, to run outside buildings as quickly as possible. Got this from stuff website. Some people are injured and power were cut. There were accidents too, I guess from the shaking of the earthquake. I tell you, the house was shaking so much when I was trying to run out. I hope Christchurch residents bought insurance rates on themselves and their things to protect themselves.

Just felt one small earthquake as of now.

I must have mention before that we are currently watching chinese tv wing chun drama series. It’s not totally about wing chun moves. I enjoy watching it, it’s just that some parts of the stories are totally irrelevant and too dramatic. Gosh.. that’s why I don’t watch dramas. I much prefer to watch crime or murder series, or even scientific series. =P

Anyway, I was reading articles on stuff.co.nz where I found this article. Do read about it. I used to think like that too when I was younger. As I grow older, I don’t think it is true. I mean, I do know people will find their one eventually but I mean, you won’t find the one like in the fairytales.

I would love to be one of them. They have one week off and got paid for it. How cool is that.
